US stock indices opened the second session of the week higher, erasing the losses sustained earlier this week, following earlier industrial data from the US while the third-quarter earnings season carries on.
Earlier US data showed industrial output rose 0.3% in September, slowing down from 0.4%, while the Capacity Utilization Rate stood at 78.1%, same as before and below estimates of 78.2%.

As of 02:24 GMT, Standard and Poor's 500 rose 1.04%, or 28.52 points to 2,779.31, while Dow Jones surged 1.14%, or 287.06 points to 25,537.61.
Tech-heavy NASDAQ climbed 1.10%, or 81.83 points to 7,512.58.
