Wall Street opens higher after a return from Thanksgiving holiday

Most US stock indices opened higher on Friday after a return from the Thanksgiving official holiday. 

 

Markets are closely monitoring Fed officials statements on monetary policies with analysts expecting a slower pace of policy tightening.

 

Chinese authorities continue to impose more stringent limitations on movements as infections spread to many cities.

 

Health authorities registered over 32 thousand Covid 19 infections on Thursday alone, forcing them to impose new closures and restrictions on transport. 

 

Dow Jones rose 0.4%, or 140 points to 34,333, while S&P 500 climbed 0.1%, or 4 points to 4,031, as NASDAQ shed 0.3%, or 35 points to 11,250.
