US crude oil inventories fall more than 9 million barrels last week

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced in its official data that oil inventories in the United States fell by 9.6 million barrels last week, recording 439.5 million barrels, while analysts expected a 1 million barrel rise.

 

Government data showed gasoline stocks fell by 4.6 million barrels last week, while distillate stocks fell by 4.1 million barrels last week.

 

The American Petroleum Institute (API) announced yesterday in preliminary unofficial data that oil stocks fell only 2.1 million barrels last week.
