The consumer confidence has improved in the US during May thanks to the reopening measures that several US states started implementing after months of closure due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The University of Michigan survey showed that the US consumer confidence index rose to 72.3 points in May vs. 71.8 in April, to beat analysts forecasts of 73.7 points.
