The US dollar fell against a basket of currencies today, amid the uncertainty amid uncertainty over progress of the trade talks the Washington and Beijing talked about recently.
President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the trade talks with China are going "very nicely", and further progress is being made with the Chinese side.
But he raised doubts after denying a rollback of the Chinese tariffs, which is what the Chinese Ministry of Commerce officially stated last week.
While focus will turn to the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's testimony before the US Congress this week.
Back to trading, the dollar index fell against a basket of currencies by 0.2% to 98.1 points as of 20:09 GMT, with an intraday high of 98.3 and a low of 98.1.
