Ripple surrenders yesterday's gains amid mixed trading in crypto market

Ripple declined during today's trading, to shed its yesterday session gains, amid mixed performance from most cryptocurrencies.

Investors in the crypto market are concerned about the US-China trade war as well as the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The Wall Street Journal today revealed that Facebook's project to launch a cryptocurrency has attracted investment of about ten million dollars from four major companies, namely, Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, and Uber Technologies.

Facebook intends to use the cryptocurrency in its payment activities for employees who want to be paid in the cryptocurrency or to get money through its ATM machines.

In terms of trading, by 21:09 GMT, Ripple fell by 1.5% to $0.40, the highest at $0.41 and the lowest at $0.39.

Otherwise, Bitcoin rose 2.6% to $8532, with the highest at $8547.1 and the lowest at $8172.5.
