The majority of cryptocurrencies rose during trading today, including Ripple, which jumped more than 6% as the director of Facebook's project Calibra, David Marcus, reassured the market about the upcoming cryptocurrency "Libra."
In his testimony before the US Congress, Marcus stressed that Facebook would not launch its cryptocurrency "Libra" before satisfying regulators and avoiding any concerns about the currency.
Markus added that the Libra will take into account all concerns about its misuse, possibly in the financing of terrorism, human trafficking and money laundering.
On the other hand, Nestlé, McDonald's and Virgin Media have joined forces in developing Blockchain technology.
In terms of trade, by 20:36 GMT, Ripple rose by 6.1% to $0.32, the highest at $0.33 and the lowest at $0.29.
Bitcoin rose by 1.3% to $9726, the day's highest at $9088.8 and the lowest at $9076.7.
