Ripple falls on stronger dollar

Ripple fell during trading today on the strength of US dollar, which has put pressure on many assets, including cryptocurrencies, commodities and metals.

The cryptocurrencies were pressured this week by criticism from US President Donald Trump, Fed and the Bank of England chiefs, whom expressed their concerns about the cryptocurrency Libra, which Facebook plans to launch next year.

Afterwards, the director of the Facebook's digital portfolio Calibra, David Marcus, testified before the US Congress to reassure legislators on the Libra currency.

Meanwhile, a data company manager said that the Blockchain technology - through which cryptocurrencies are traded - would help cut oil companies' expenses by 30 percent.

In terms of trade, by 21:14 GMT, Ripple fell by 0.7% to $0.32, with a high of $0.33 and a low of $0.31.

Bitcoin fell 0.8% to $10,509, with the highest at $10787.7 and the lowest at $10116.1.
