Ripple continued its losses whilst the crypto market trimmed its losses and Bitcoin rebound to trade above the $8,000 barrier, amid negative statements on the crypto assets.
A senior official of the Russian parliament said that cryptocurrencies are a dangerous type of assets and must be treated with caution, pointing out that cryptos could lead to a fall of governments.
This comes amid the continuing escalation of the US-China trade war, which is affecting investors' appetite for risky assets.
In terms of trades, by 21:20 GMT, Ripple dropped by 4.5% to $0.40, the highest at $0.43 and the lowest at $0.38.
Bitcoin fell by 0.6% to $8027, with the highest price of the day at $8292 and the lowest price at $7574.
