The New Zealand dollar wallowed near February 2016 lows against US dollar after sustaining heavy losses last week, following earlier inflation data from New Zealand today.
As of 02:28 GMT, NZD/USD shed 0.03% to 0.6588, with an intraday high at 0.6596, and a two-and-a-half-year nadir at 0.6557.
Earlier New Zealand data showed the Food Price Index, tracking prices of food and its services purchased by households, rose 0.7% in July, up from 0.5% in June,
An index tracking the performance of services rose to 55.1 in July from 52.7, with a reading above 50 indicating expansion and vice versa.
